Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), is set to hold an investment summit in November this year.
The theme of the event is ‘Unlocking Opportunities for Economic Growth and Strategic Partnerships”.
It is being organised by AMAC Investment and Property Development Ltd in collaboration with government agencies and foreign investors to harness the economic potential of Nigeria’s capital city.
In a statement, the chairperson of AMAC Business and Investors’ Summit, Loveth Izekor, described the event as the first of its kind in the FCT.
AMAC is one of the biggest councils in Nigeria and the biggest in the FCT with numerous economic opportunities.
Izekor said the event will draw speakers from the nusiness community in Nigeria and abroad, with participants from over three continents.
She added that the summit will host business leaders, bank executives, trade experts, social investment analysts, and the foreign business community in a one-day business/investors exhibition in Abuja.
Izekor stated that the summit champions one of the most pressing issues of “our time, which is economic growth – drawing the attention of Investors to the lucrativeness of AMAC.
‘While we highlight the economic potential of the capital city, it is also an avenue for local and international business stakeholders to see AMAC as a safe business destination like other international trade havens.
‘From real estate to hospitality to renewable energy to agro-business, IT solutions, and health – AMAC offers the space for economic activities that engenders national prosperity. There are industrial hubs located in AMAC, with the potential to drive industrialisation, create massive employment and increase investment inflow into our economy, she said.
The exhibition section of the summit is centered around fostering strategic partnerships as well as long-lasting solutions to the problems Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) face in the course of doing business and exploiting opportunities for growth and innovation.
