Anazodo, Adewale To Host Prestigious Newstap/SWAN 5-Star Awards

Renowned sports journalist and Super Sports television presenter, Charles Anazodo, will co-host the annual Newstap/SWAN Five Star Awards alongside Oludolapo Adewale, lead trainer at Crystal Lattice Media. The duo has been selected to anchor the prestigious event.

According to a statement from the organisers, signed by Adekunle Salami, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Anazodo and Adewale were chosen for their extensive experience in managing high-profile events. The committee anticipates a dynamic and engaging awards ceremony with them at the helm.

The Newstap/SWAN Five Star Sports Award was established to recognise five distinguished Nigerians and corporate entities who have made significant contributions to sports development in the country.

This year’s honourees for the second edition include: Bayelsa State Governor Senator Douye Diri, NIS DG/CEO Rt. Honourable Comrade Philip Shaibu, MD/CEO Nilayo Sports Management Company Ltd Mrs. Yetunde Olopade, Club owner Chief Robert Onyeani, and internationally acclaimed boxing promoter Honourable Omonlei Yakubu Imadu.

Last year’s event was chaired by Malam Shehu Dikko, Chairman of the National Sports Commission. Previous winners included Governor of Benue State Rev Father Hyacinth Alia, businessman and philanthropist Honourable Kunle Soname, Benue State Football Association Chairman Barrister Paul Edeh, GTI Managing Director Mr Abubakar Lawal, and Mr Ebi Egbe, MD of Monimichelle Construction Company.
