The All Progressives Congress (APC) said it successfully met the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) deadline for the submission of its candidates for the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections, while accusing opposition parties of exposing their lack of preparedness by missing the deadline.

The ruling party said its timely submission demonstrates its readiness for the 2027 general elections, contrasting it with opposition parties that failed to comply with INEC’s schedule.

According to the APC, the inability of some political parties to submit the names of their candidates before the deadline reflects poor organisation and inadequate preparation for the polls.

The party maintained that meeting the electoral timetable is a fundamental requirement for any political party seeking to contest elections and urged Nigerians to take note of what it described as the opposition’s failure to prepare adequately for the 2027 elections.
