APC Chieftain Hails South-South ADC Endorsement Of Amaechi

A chieftian of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has applauded the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the South-South geopolitical zone for endorsing the candidature of former minister of transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Describing the endorsement as a welcome presage of victory for Nigerian, the APC chieftain urged leadership of the ADC in other geopolitical zones of the country to emulate the South-South zone.

Eze, in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP in Port Harcourt yesterday, stated that Amaechi, who is also a former governor of Rivers State, is an ideal opposition candidate to dismantle the current administration of President Bola Tinubu come 2027.

He further stated that the former minister, who was director – general of the APC presidential campaign team in 2015 and 2019, could dismantle a sitting President and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), dismantling the Tinubu-led administration and the ruling party would not be a difficult task.

Eze said not minding a few dissenting voices which is normal and essential in the practice of democracy, the majority choice of Amaechi is the best step and strategy to salvage Nigeria from her present sorry and impoverished state occasioned by the present administration.

He said, “With the experience that Amaechi has garnered since his entrance into public office, the former governor is very qualified and competent to govern Nigeria if we are to consider merit as a yardstick for electing our next president.

“Two time chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum when serious and key political players were in the forum including Peter Obi as the governor of Anambra State with Kwankwaso as the Governor of Kano State and Saraki as governor of Kwara State, so under what condition are some people playing down the capability and capacity of Amaechi to govern Nigeria while some of these key actors have at a time served under his leadership?”
