APC Disqualifies Rivers Senator, Ex-SSG, 2 Other Aspirants

The screening committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has disqualified the senator representing Rivers West Senatorial District, Senator Ipalibo Banigo, from participating in the party’s primaries in Rivers State.

Also disqualified are former Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo , former Director of Energy Operations in the Office of the National Security Adviser, Hon. Ojukaye Flag-Amachree , and businessman Dr. Tein Jack-Rich , all aspirants for the Rivers West Senatorial District ticket.

The committee, however, cleared Senator Allwell Onyesoh , who represents Rivers East Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

Former Rivers State PDP chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah, and Chief Barry Nwara were also cleared as sole candidates for Rivers West and Rivers South-East senatorial districts respectively.

Meanwhile, the party also announced winners of the House of Representatives primaries in the state.

June 12: SDP Honours Abiola, Calls For Democratic Governance

The list includes Rt. Hon. Martins Amaewhule Martins Amaewhule for Obio/Akpor, Hon. Linda Stewart for Okrika/Ogu-Bolo, Solomon Bob for Abua-Odual/Ahoada East, Blessing Chigeru Amadi for Port Harcourt II, and Victor Obuzor for Ahoada West/Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni.

Others are Isobo Jack for Akuku-Toru/Asari-Toru, Frederick Apiafi for Andoni/Opobo-Nkoro, Cyril Hart for Degema/Bonny, Felix Nwaeke for Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo, Dum Deekor for Khana/Gokana, and Igwe Precious for Port Harcourt I.
