Arsenal are reportedly leading the chase to sign highly-rated Rangers defender, Emmanuel Fernandez, in a move that could cost the Gunners around £35 million.

Fernandez, 24, has significantly impressed since his arrival at Ibrox from League One outfit Peterborough United last summer, quickly establishing himself as a key figure in the Rangers backline.

The promising centre-back recently made his international debut for Nigeria, further enhancing his profile. While Arsenal are understood to be at the forefront, the defender has also attracted attention from European heavyweights Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

According to The Peterborough Telegraph, Arsenal are currently in pole position to secure Fernandez’s signature, with Rangers expected to demand a substantial fee for their prized asset.
