Arsenal Seal £34m Move For Greek Star Christos Tzolis

Premier League champions Arsenal have strengthened their attacking options with the £34 million signing of Greece international Christos Tzolis from Belgian side Club Brugge.

The 24-year-old has signed a long-term contract at the Emirates after an impressive spell in Belgium, where he scored 43 goals and provided 45 assists in 108 appearances.

Tzolis arrives as Arsenal’s replacement for Leandro Trossard, who recently joined Turkish club Besiktas.

Sporting Director Andrea Berta described the Greek winger as an “extremely versatile attacking player” capable of operating across the front line.

“He is an excellent finisher with both feet, thrives in tight spaces and possesses incredible technical ability,” Berta said.

“He has produced outstanding numbers over the past three seasons and will raise the technical level of our squad while bringing positive energy and a strong mentality.”

Tzolis began his professional career with PAOK before joining Norwich City in 2021. He made 30 appearances for the Canaries and also enjoyed loan spells at FC Twente and Fortuna Düsseldorf before moving permanently to Club Brugge.

Following discussions with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, Tzolis said he was excited by the club’s ambitions.

“We talked about everything — the club, the team, his plans and my role. Everything was positive,” he said.

“I’m a direct player who always looks to score or provide assists. I also work hard defensively and always want to help the team.”
