Arsenal further solidified their position atop the Premier League table on Saturday with a commanding 3-0 victory over Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.

The win extends their lead to a comfortable nine points over second-placed Manchester City, who face a challenging fixture against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.

The Gunners asserted their dominance early, with M. Zubimend opening the scoring in the 26th minute, assisted by Leandro Trossard. Despite a resilient effort from Sunderland, Arsenal continued to press and held on to their 1-0 lead till the end of first half.

The second half saw Arsenal maintain control, and Viktor Gyökeres put the game beyond doubt in the 66th minute, assisted by Kai Havertz, making it 2-0. Gyökeres then added his second and Arsenal’s third goal in injury time (90+3′), sealing a comprehensive 3-0 victory.
