Nigerian singer and actor Banky W has shared candid insights into his marriage with Adesua Etomi-Wellington, challenging traditional views on domestic roles and reflecting on their journey to parenthood.
Speaking on The Teju Babyface Show, the entertainer revealed that he often takes on cooking duties at home, contrary to societal expectations.
He explained that their arrangement is based on what suits them rather than convention. “Some people come to our house and see me cooking and feel uncomfortable, but it works for us,” he added, urging couples to define their own standards, as what works for one person will be different from what works for somebody else.
Banky W also praised his wife’s resilience during their struggle with fertility, recounting multiple failed IVF attempts before the birth of their son, Hezekiah. “I’ve seen her go through things that would break people… she kept getting back up,” he said, noting that the experience reshaped his perspective on household responsibilities.
