The Bauchi State government is set to hold the grand finale of its nationwide investment roadshows in Kano today as preparations intensify for the much-anticipated Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit.
The summit will take place on October 8 and 9, 2025, at the newly built Bauchi International Conference Centre (ICC).
In a statement issued by Governor Bala Mohammed’s media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, the Kano roadshow is strategically designed to showcase Bauchi’s vast and untapped investment opportunities to the northern business community and beyond.
According to him, the initiative is part of the state government’s ongoing campaign to attract local and foreign investors into critical sectors such as agriculture, solid minerals, energy, ICT, manufacturing, tourism and infrastructure development.
“Kano, described as a historic hub of trade and entrepreneurship, provides the perfect platform for Bauchi to pitch its economic potentials. The event is expected to bring together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, chambers of commerce, policymakers, financial institutions, and development partners to explore partnerships with the Bauchi delegation,” he said.
Speaking ahead of the event, the secretary to the state government, Aminu Hammayo, who is leading the delegation, emphasised Bauchi’s strategic location as a gateway to the Northeast subregion.
He noted that the Governor Bala Mohammed administration has introduced key reforms and infrastructure to improve ease of doing business, safeguard investors’ treasures and ensure sustainability.
“The Bauchi State government has already held successful roadshows in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu, where prospective investors expressed readiness to engage. The Kano event will cap these efforts and provide the final momentum before the October summit,” Gidado explained.
The roadshow will feature sectoral presentations, interactive sessions and networking opportunities, giving investors the chance to directly engage with Bauchi officials and business leaders.
Governor Bala Mohammed has consistently emphasised his administration’s commitment to building a resilient, diversified economy that leverages Bauchi’s abundant arable land, youthful population, mineral resources and cultural heritage.
He stressed that strategic partnerships are crucial to unlocking the state’s economic potential and improving livelihoods.
Gidado announced that the Kano roadshow will be held at Tahir Guest Palace by 2pm, bringing together stakeholders as the countdown begins for the Bauchi State Economic and Investment Summit, 2025
