Bishop of Diocese of Umuahia, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Rt Rev (Dr) Geoffery Ibeabuchi has said better days are ahead for the country, despite the challenges.
Ibeabuchi stated this in his 2026 New Year message made available to LEADERSHIP Sunday in Umuahia, Abia State capital, rejoicing that the Lord had gone it again.
”This is to gladly and joyfully welcome you and yours to 2026. Despite the odds, uncertainties and challenges of 2025, His grace kept all of us going” the message said in part.
”We give all glory to Him, who is able to keep us from failing and is ready to present us faultless before the presence of His grace and exceeding joy.”
”To the only wise God and Saviour be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, Amen (Jude 24-25).
”Last year came with its challenges. In the midst of all these, God gave us breakthroughs and celebrations, while to some it was a year of tears and pains,” he said.
He encouraged them to prophetically declare, pronounce, and speak to the year under God’s leading and see them come to pass in the name of Jesus Christ.
”As we embark on the journey of life, remember what Jesus Christ said in John 15:5 ‘For apart from me you can do nothing’ Determine this year and the years ahead to abide in Him always.
“As we prayerfully and totally depend on God for spiritual and physical victories, we wish you a very happy, fruitful, and fulfilling New Year in Jesus name. Amen.”
