BMC Homes Limited, a real estate development company and Post-Service Housing Development Limited, a subsidiary of the Nigerian Army, has announced the signing of a partnership agreement for the development of the ambitious Metro Garden City Estate project in Makurdi, Benue State.

The Metro Garden City Estate is set to become one of the largest housing developments in Nigeria, with over 1,300 housing units in a single location. Located in Utur layout scheme phase IV, the capital city of Benue State, the estate spans approximately 71.76 hectares.

According to a statement issued to journalists in Abuja yesterday by BMC Homes, the project aims to redefine modern living by offering various affordable housing options to residents in Makurdi and beyond.

BMC Homes Limited will execute the project in phases. The first phase is anticipated to be completed within two years, creating a benchmark for timely and efficient real estate development, the statement said.

The initiative is expected to generate over 2,000 employment opportunities for the host community during the construction and operational phases, it added.

In his remarks during the signing ceremony, Major General JD Omali, Managing Director/CEO of Post-Service Housing Development Limited, stated that the company is pivotal in providing quality housing solutions for military personnel and the public.

As part of the Nigerian Army’s commitment to welfare, this subsidiary focuses on developing residential communities and promoting access to affordable housing nationwide, he said.
