In a surprising twist in the summer transfer window, Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface is on the cusp of signing with AC Milan from Bayer Leverkusen.

According to reports from Plettigoal, negotiations between the parties were in advanced stages, and all involved were optimistic about finalising the deal.

The Nigerian international has emerged as a top target for Milan’s head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, who is actively seeking a leading striker following the departures of Álvaro Morata and Tammy Abraham in recent months.

After discussions with Boniface’s representatives, the player has reportedly given the green light to expedite the transfer process. Milan is currently engaged in talks with Leverkusen regarding the financial aspects of securing the 24-year-old forward.

Earlier this year, Boniface nearly made a move to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, but that transfer ultimately fell through. The prospect of joining one of Italy’s most storied clubs marks a significant moment in Boniface’s career.
