Bournemouth havfinalised an £11.1 million agreement with Sevilla for 22-year-old defender Juanlu, sources confirmed Saturday, as new manager Marco Rose completes his squad ahead of the club’s first Europa League campaign.
The transfer includes an initial £9.4 million fee plus £1.7 million in performance-related add-ons. The Spain U-21 international is expected to sign a long-term contract with the Cherries.
Juanlu becomes Bournemouth’s third summer signing, following £25.7 million arrivals Antonio Silva (Benfica) and striker Alvaro Rodriguez (Elche).
Rose now seeks a backup goalkeeper to challenge starter Djordje Petrovic. Meanwhile, Sevilla have expressed interest in striker Enes Unal, though the Turkish international also has offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Club sources confirmed forwards Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan, and Alex Scott are not for sale.
