The Supreme Court of Nigeria has faulted the Naira Redesign policy introduced by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) even as it declared its implementation invalid.

The apex court made the declaration on Friday while delivering judgment in a suit instituted by three States of the federation against the Federal Government on the policy.

Naira Redesign: Evolution Of Another New Normal

A seven-member panel of Justices held that the old N200, N500 and N1000, therefore, remain valid legal tender till December 31, 2023.
