The chairman Bauchi State Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Abubakar Usman, has urged workers in the state to recommit themselves to their official duties.
Usman emphasised that workers need to reciprocate the gesture by the present administration led by Governor Bala Mohammed especially for implementing the new minimum wage of N70,000 in the state and other gestures.
He warned that lackadaisical attitudes, such as absenteeism, habitual lateness, and leaving work before the scheduled time, would no longer be tolerated.
The chairman also called on all staff to exhibit discipline and dedication, stressing that misconduct will be addressed decisively.
In his New Year message issued by the commission’s information officer, Saleh Umar, yesterday, Alhaji Abubakar commended Governor Mohammed and his cabinet for their commitment to the progress and development of Bauchi State, particularly in civil service reforms.
He expressed optimism that 2025 would be a productive and peaceful year free from challenges and wished all staff a prosperous new year and a joyful Yuletide celebration.
