All these four, so far, have helped them to achieve what they want, as they provide top-notch services to customers.

Director of Mirror Foods, a Chicken Republic franchisee, Jide Onalaja, who is also a promoter of the business told journalists that Chicken Republic is a well-known brand and one of the leaders in the industry, hinting that right now, it is the biggest food outlet in Nigeria.

Onalaja disclosed that his company had received a concession from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to set up similar outlets in all the airports in Nigeria starting with Lagos.

He said: “It has about 300 outlets in Nigeria and in Ghana as well. It is the biggest brand that was established in Nigeria and has grown to that extent. They are working on setting up branches in Canada and UK as well. Chicken Republic originated from Lagos. The meals are affordable. We are rolling this out in all airports across Nigeria but we are starting with Lagos.

“Whatever you get here is the same in any Chicken Republic. The standards are the same as those of the global standard. Instead of afresh with a new name, we went for a brand that is well known, that is affordable and accepted by the majority.”

Onalaja further explained that, when the new terminal opened, they felt it was a good time to inject new blood into the airport and what better place to be in the new building.
The whole concept of the arrival concourse according to him is that all arriving passengers are filtered through the space.

“The idea is that in a place of receiving passengers, people come and receive people and they want to have a place to eat. It is basically to enhance and contribute to the ambience of this airport and to go with the brand that is well known, well accepted,” he stressed.
