Nigerian singer Chike has reignited online conversations after an old interview resurfaced in which he opened up about why he prefers dating older women.

Speaking candidly during the interview, the vocalist explained that he is drawn to older women because of their emotional maturity, better communication skills, and, as he put it, a lower tendency toward unnecessary drama. According to him, maturity often brings peace of mind, deeper understanding, and healthier relationship dynamics — qualities he values highly in his personal life.

The resurfaced clip has since sparked mixed reactions online. While many social media users agreed with his perspective, others argued that maturity is not necessarily determined by age.

The renewed attention comes amid ongoing online speculation linking Chike to the reported breakdown of the marriage between media personality Frank Edoho and his second wife, Sandra Onyenucheya. Social media users and bloggers have alleged that the singer may have been involved in the situation, although the claims remain unverified.
