Kebbi State governor, Nasir Idris, has  urged Christians to imbibe the doctrine of selflessness and sacrifice.

He said, “As our Christian brothers and sisters statewide celebrate the 2023 occasion of Christmas, I extend my warmest greetings and good wishes to all members of the Christian community in our beloved Kebbi State.”

This was contained in a statement issued yesterday to newsmen by the commissioner for information and culture, Ahmed Yakubu BK, on his behalf to mark this year’s Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Governor Idris added that the teachings of Prophet Isa (AS) Jesus inspire us to embrace selflessness, sacrifice, and values that are essential for building a harmonious and prosperous society.

“Let us reflect on these timeless principles and strive to embody them in our daily lives, spreading love, compassion, and goodwill to all.

I call upon the people of Kebbi State, regardless of religious affiliation, to continue offering their unwavering support and prayers for the government.

“Your support is vital as we work tirelessly to ensure the safety, economic prosperity, democratic strength, and social stability of our state. Together, we can overcome challenges and build a better future for all. The fact that no society or community has progressed or developed in an atmosphere of rancor and conflict attests to the urgent need for us as a people, guided by common destiny, to unite and work together in order to succeed together and be safe together,” Governor Idris said.
