Suspected burglars have broken into the Chapel of Grace Church in Badariya area in Birnin Kebbi local government area of Kebbi State and carted away musical instruments worth N1.6 million.
The state chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), who is the pastor of the church, Ibrahim Maihikima, disclosed this to reporters yesterday in Birnin Kebbi.
Maihikima said the burglars came in the middle of the night on Tuesday, broke the protector of the window to gain access into the premises of the church and carted away equipment.
The chairman added that the thieves also ransacked the entire premises of the church expecting to see money but, ended up carting away the musical instruments.
He said the management of the church had reported the matter to the Birnin Kebbi police division for investigation.
