Church Endorses Fintiri For Second Term

The Church of the Brethren in Nigeria, popularly known as EYN, has endorsed the re-election of Adamawa State governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for the second term.

The president of the Church, Rev Joel Billi who led delegation of the church leadership on solidarity visit to Government House Yola, yesterday, said the decision of the church was based on his landmark achievements in the state.

“We are here, to assure him (Fintiri) of our total support for his reelection for a second term.

“The church decided today to come and wish him all the best and for his successful re-election come March, 2023,” he said. “Our assessment, based on what he has done for Adamawa State we wish that he comes on board to be re-elected,” Billi added.

In his response, Fintiri appreciated the prayers and support of the EYN Church which he noted has helped in no small measure to the successes recorded so far by his administration in the state.

“We must come on board whether you are a Marghi or Fulani, Bachama, Chamba, Christian or Muslim, our concern now that the state has suffered is to come together so that it can be beneficial to all citizens,” Fintiri said.
