Committee Seeks Media Support On Rigata 2026

As the preparations for 2026 Yauri Rigata cultural and festival in Kebbi State gathers momentum, members of the publicity committee led by the Ubandoman Yauri, Abubakar Sa’idu, have visited some media houses to seek their support and cooperation towards the success of the event.

The places visited include Kebbi Radio, Kebbi State Television and Equity FM stations.

During the visit, the leader of the committee, Abubakar Sa’idu extolled the importance of media in information dissemination, especially with regard to the programs and events.

He appealed to the heads of the organisations to assist the committee succeed in the upcoming 2026 Rigata festival scheduled to hold in Yauri Emirate under Yauri local government area of Kebbi State.

Speaking with journalists in Birnin Kebbi, Ubandoma disclosed that this year’s festival had been fixed for February 4 to 7 and is expected to be graced by many spectators and dignitaries from different parts of Kebbi State and the country.

He added that the event would showcase the importance of the Yauri Emirate and the abundant agricultural and natural resources in the area.

He said the festival is organised annually by the emirate council under the supervision of the Emir of Yauri, Dr Muhammad Zayyanu Abdullahi.
