Besides the two former Ministers, five other members of the party were suspended indefinitely for the same alleged offence.

In a statement issued to journalists on Wednesday in Birnin Kebbi, the State capital, by the State secretary of the party, Abubakar Bawa Kalgo (Makaman Kalgo), said the other errant members include; Haruna Saidu D.O., Sani Bawa Argungu,  brahim Abdullahi Manga, Bala Abdullahi Dole-Kaina, and Maryam Isah.

Kalgo said in the statement that their suspension took effect from March 14, 2023 as approved by the State Executive Committee (SEC) as well as party elders in the State.

But, in a swift reaction, the state chairman of the party, Usman Bello Suru, in a statement he issued to journalists in Birnin Kebbi, described the suspension as null and void.
