D-Rider Bitters, a product of Havana Beverages Limited, has expressed immense satisfaction with its involvement in a series of snooker competitions held across various locations in Lagos State.
Mr. Emmanuel Iborida, Head of Marketing at Havana Beverages Limited, stated the company’s commitment to promoting the game of snooker throughout the state. He assured that the D-Rider Bitters brand is robust enough to regularly popularise snooker competitions with “better, bigger, and more attractive prizes,” as the initiative perfectly captures the brand’s promise and essence.
“We began with the event we hosted across seven centres for Valentine’s last month within Ifako Ijaye Local Government, and we are looking forward to doing more in the weeks ahead,” Iborida said. “We are also pleased that participants are excited by our initiative of staging a competition for what they normally do simply to relax.”
The D-Rider Bitters Snooker Competition is being staged in popular high-end bars, lounges, and upscale drinking establishments within communities. The company chose to commence with the Ifako Ijaye Local Government event last month. The competition saw approximately 150 amateur players participate, with the top three winners emerging from each of the seven centres.
“Each of the top three winners received cash and other attractive prizes for their efforts. They were very happy, and that is motivation enough for us to do more,” Mr. Iborida added.
The competition sponsors, D-Rider Bitters, emphasised that the tournament is being held to encourage patience and enhance precision in players’ lives. Snooker, they noted, is a game that demands calculation and targeting, which aligns with the brand’s ideals, take-home message, and tagline: “RIDE ON.”
Subsequent editions are expected to be held in other local government areas, aiming to ensure the continued growth and popularity of snooker in Lagos State.
