This was revealed to newsmen in Kano at a media chat on Tuesday by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Musa Tukur Yakasai, who said the event will take place from Wednesday, 7th to Saturday, 10th May, 2025.

18,000 graduates, including 15,000 undergraduates and 3,000 postgraduates, will be rolled out of the university at the Wudil campus.

Professor Yakasai further explained that the week-long event will also feature the investiture of the richest African and President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, as the University’s Chancellor.
Business mogul and billionaire Chief Arthur Eze, founder of Max Air and multi-billionaire Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, legal luminary and Senior Advocate Ahmad Adeniyi Raji, and oil magnate and founder of Ammasco Oil Al-Mustapha Ado are also slated for an honorary doctorate.

According to the VC, the university has made significant strides and innovations in its academic journey to greater heights, including program accreditation and a mathematical digital model designed by a university product, Mahmoud Mubarak, for measuring deforestation density.
