The move came shortly after Vice President Kashim Shettima departed the state after a one -day vist.

The governor himself announced the cabinet dissolution during an emergency State Executive Council meeting which commenced at about 7:pm yesterday.

Our correspondent reports that most of the cabinet members participated in the state function during the visit of the vice president.
