Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved the State Executive Council.
Governor Sule also removed the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Muhammed Ubandoma-Aliyu.
The move came shortly after Vice President Kashim Shettima departed the state after a one -day vist.
The governor himself announced the cabinet dissolution during an emergency State Executive Council meeting which commenced at about 7:pm yesterday.
Our correspondent reports that most of the cabinet members participated in the state function during the visit of the vice president.
Although the reason behind the decision to dissolve the exco was unclear, rumours of an impending dissolution had been rife with some citing disloyalty to the chief executive as key reason.
Many had expected that the dissolution would follow a cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu in October 2024.
