As the newly appointed ministers took the oath of office, the youth, including the Students Movement of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), have charged them not to disappoint President Ahmed Tinubu and Nigerians at large.

Furthermore, the youth have promised to set up a committee to monitor their work and report to the appropriate channels, as Nigeria cannot afford to miss the mark again.

In a statement on Monday, Comrade Olamide Odumosu, the National Coordinator of APC Youths and Students Movement, stated that their roles carry immense responsibility and the trust of the President.

Odumosu said, “You have been chosen to drive the nation forward, and with that comes the expectation to execute your duties with unwavering dedication and integrity.

“Remember, your actions directly impact the lives of citizens and the trajectory of the country. The President’s vision relies on your expertise, commitment, and ability to collaborate. Uphold the highest ethical standards, and let your decisions be guided by what’s best for the people you serve.”

He noted that communication is key and they should regularly update the President on their progress, challenges, and successes. Be proactive in seeking guidance when needed; the President’s experience and insight can be invaluable.

Embrace innovation and adaptability because the world evolves rapidly, and your policies must adapt accordingly. Strive for well-informed decisions that consider diverse perspectives and experiences.

He also charges them to work cohesively, leveraging each other’s strengths to tackle complex issues effectively. Avoid internal conflicts that may weaken your collective impact.

Stay accountable, acknowledge mistakes, learn from them, and take corrective actions swiftly. Transparency and accountability foster trust in your leadership.

“Remember, your tenure is a privilege, not a right. The President’s confidence is a testament to your capabilities. Disappointing the President not only reflects on you but also affects the entire administration.

“As you embark on this important journey, carry the weight of your positions with humility, dedication, and a deep sense of service. Your dedication will not only honor the President’s trust but also contribute to the prosperity and well-being of the nation and its people,” Odumosu said.
