Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth  Alia has charged people of the state not to be deceived by the antics of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) for the steps taken so far to sanitise the rot created by the former governor, Samuel Ortom’s administration.

The governor who spoke through his chief press secretary Tersoo Kula asked members of the former PDP  administration to apologise to Benue people and seek their forgiveness instead of playing to the gallery and mocking the badly deprived people of the state.

The governor who was reacting to the nullification of the former governor’s last minute appointments and award of contracts said it was worrisome that for more than seven years of Ortom’s administration, he could not employ anyone into the civil service until a few months to the expiration of his tenure, describing the act as a deliberate plan to hinder the smooth take-off of the new administration.
