Senator Adenigba Fadahunsi has called on Christians across Nigeria to reflect deeply on the essence of Easter by embracing a life rooted in sacrifice, compassion and genuine love for one another.

In a goodwill message made available to newsmen in Osogbo by his special adviser, Media, Sam Segun-Progress to commemorate the Easter celebration, the lawmaker commended Christians for successfully observing the Sunday Lenten fast, describing it as a demonstration of discipline, faith and spiritual commitment.

He urged them not to abandon the values cultivated during the period, but to sustain a lifestyle of piety, humility, and devotion beyond the season.

Fadahunsi emphasised that the life of Jesus Christ remains the ultimate example of selflessness and love, noting that His earthly mission was defined by sacrifice for the salvation of mankind.

The senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on Industries, stressed that love was the driving force behind Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross, adding that such unconditional love should inspire human relationships and interactions in society.

He further encouraged Christians to use the solemn period of Easter as an opportunity to pray fervently for Nigeria, particularly for peace, unity, and progress, as well as for leaders at all levels of governance.

According to him, national transformation can only be achieved when citizens imbibe the virtues of love, sacrifice, and collective responsibility.

Fadahunsi also called on Nigerians to be their brother’s keeper, promote peaceful coexistence, and extend kindness to the less privileged, noting that these acts reflect the true teachings of Christ.
