Chairman of the committee set up to recover vehicles belonging to Edo State government, Kelly Okungbowa, has said his team had recovered more vehicles from officials of the last administration in the state.

Okungbowa who hailed whistleblowers for volunteering information leading to the recoveries said four vehicles were recovered from the residence of the former secretary to state government (SSG) and deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last gubernatorial election Osarodion Ogie while another one was recovered from someone else.

He expressed that before the end of the two weeks given to the committee more vehicles would have been recovered.

“Whistleblowers have helped the committee recover more vehicles and we appeal for more information to help us complete our mandate in the two weeks given to conclude our operations.

“We have recovered two land cruiser jeeps and two Toyota Hilux belonging to the former SSG.

In the vehicles, we recovered campaign posters and umbrellas. We recovered another Hilux making the cars five. In all we have recovered 30 vehicles since our operation began.
