The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared a foreign national and two other individuals wanted over allegations of financial crimes, including obtaining money by false pretence, criminal conversion of funds and criminal breach of trust.

The declaration was contained in two separate public notices issued on Tuesday by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, as part of ongoing efforts to track down suspects linked to financial misconduct across jurisdictions.

In the first notice, the Commission declared 48-year-old Emeka Johnson Iheanacho wanted over allegations bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and criminal conversion of funds.

“The public is hereby notified that Emeka Johnson Iheanacho, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of Obtaining Money by False Pretence and Criminal Conversion of Funds,” the Commission stated.

The EFCC said Iheanacho, an indigene of Abia State, is believed to have links across both Nigeria and the United Kingdom, with his last known address listed as 17 Woodland Rise, Chilmington Green, Ashford, Kent, TN23 8AR, United Kingdom.

The anti-graft agency called on members of the public with credible information on his whereabouts to report to any of its zonal offices, the nearest police station or other security agencies, stressing that all information would be treated with confidentiality.

In a separate notice, the Commission also declared Ogadima Dominic Duru, 39, and a foreign national, Khalidur Rahman Mohammad Talukder, wanted over alleged offences involving obtaining money by false pretence and criminal breach of trust.

“The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear below are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for alleged case of Obtaining Money by False Pretence and Criminal Breach of Trust,” the notice stated.

According to the Commission, Duru is believed to have ties to Lagos Island, with his last known address listed as Suite 2A, Lapal House, 235 Igbosere Road, Lagos Island, Lagos State.

Talukder, described as a foreign national, was said to have last been traced to Devonshire House, 1 Mayfair Place, London W1J 8AJ, United Kingdom.

The EFCC did not disclose the specific financial value involved in the alleged offences but said the cases form part of ongoing investigations into suspected cross-border financial crimes and fraudulent schemes.

The Commission reiterated its appeal to the public to assist in locating the suspects, urging anyone with useful information to report through its official channels or nearest security agencies.

It further assured that whistleblowers’ identities would be protected and stressed its commitment to ensuring that all persons involved in financial crimes are brought to justice, regardless of location or status.
