The musician also faces charges of criminal threatening and disorderly conduct, police told PEOPLE
Legendary pop star Cher’s son, Elijah Blue Allman, 49, has been charged following a disturbance he caused at an elite prep school in New Hampshire.
The ‘Believe’ singer’s youngest son was taken into custody on Friday, February 27, the Concord Police Department (CPD) in New Hampshire confirmed to the media.
The police responded to St. Paul’s School at about 6 p.m. local time due to a report of an unwanted guest, who was “acting belligerently,” reports said. The person in question was later identified as the musician. It was claimed he caused a disturbance and acted aggressively in the dining hall.
He was detained by police and charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening and disorderly conduct, the police told the media. Reports also state Allman had no connection to the school.
Allman was later processed at the Merrimack County Jail and released on personal recognisance bail, an agreement in which he doesn’t have to pay any bail and promises to appear at future court dates, according to reports.
Allman serves as the vocalist and guitarist for the rock group Deadsy and has also worked with artists such as Sugar Ray, Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Korn.
