Chairman of Etsako East local government area of Edo State, Princess Benedicta Attoh, has been nominated for an award of recognition as a fellow and SDGs’ champion of the Federal University of Petroleum Resources Centre for Sustainable Development Effurun, Delta State.
A statement by her chief press secretary, Benjamin Atu said the nomination for the award was contained in a letter sent to her and signed by the Director of the Centre, Dr Emekea Elemike ; Green activist , Harrison Agbom, director of the programme and Okezi Odugala deputy director (External Partnership Liaison).
The letter reads in part: “Warm greetings and commendation for your dedication, exemplary leadership abilities, selfless service, and positive contributions to people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership which is in tandem with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, and Africa Union Sustainable Development Agenda 2063.”
Attoh would be decorated and presented a Certificate of Recognition during the 3rd Anniversary and Roundtable on Sustainable Development to be held at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources campus in Effurun, Delta State.
As part of the activities to commemorate her investiture, Attoh will also be expected to plant a commemorative tree at the university campus to mitigate climate change as she is expected to deploy her wealth of experience towards sustainable development.
