His Royal Highness Henry Binidodogha (aka Egbema 1), Ovuru 1 of Ofunama in Edo State and national president of the First Phase Ex-Agitators Foundation, has showered encomium on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his foresight in appointing credible Niger Deltans as ministers in his cabinet.

Speaking on behalf of the First Phase Ex-Agitators Foundation, Binidodogha averred that “by the caliber of credible Niger Deltans that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed into his cabinet he has shown he has a good grasp of what the people of the region, and indeed Nigerians, are craving for. And we assure him that we will not let him down.”

On the choice of Heineken Lokpobiri as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Binidodo said: “By appointing Lokpobiri as the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. President has shown that he wants a change in the narrative of the people of the Niger Delta region.

“Lokpobiri knows the in and out of the region and as such he will know how to address some salient issues like the issue of the pipeline surveillance contract which in the past, especially during the Goodluck Jonathan era, was made open to lots of groups/individuals. This way many people benefitted and thus the crisis in the region was minimized considerably even as oil theft reduced.’’

Speaking on the appointment of Dr. Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director (MD) of the board and management of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Binidodogha said that it is another right choice and “President Tinubu’s decision to retain him from the immediate past board would ensure that there is no setback in the activities of the commission.”

He hinted that the members of his group, the First Phase Ex-Agitators Foundation, are on the verge of paying a courtesy visit to President Tinubu in Aso Rock Villa “so that we can thank him for what he has done so far for the Niger Delta people and, indeed, Nigerians.”
