Ex-Nollywood star Grace Oyifie Agbo is now a firefighter in the Federal Capital territory (FCT) of Abuja. The ex-actress announced the promotion recently on Instagram congratulating herself.
Agbo who has featured in movies as Black Out, Mr Potosky, Lost Pride, Deadly Desire, Palace of Sorrow, Ada-Ide-Ichaka, Haunted Palace, Village Don, The Calabash among others made the switch from the screens to the red firetrucks in 2018.
Barely four years after she has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Fire 1 (ASF1) at the Federal Fire Service Headquarters, Abuja where she is serving, proving her choice of firefighting over acting is no fluke.
Agbo, serving in the Special Duty Unit of the Inspectorate, Investigation and Enforcement (IIE) Department of the service, takes advantage of her social media handle to teach Nigerians how to prevent fire, and what to during fire breakouts. She further joins her unit in outreach programmes to schools, organization and other agencies. Her unit is saddled with the responsibility of inspecting buildings fire safety compliancy, issuance of fire certificate, excursions fires safety trainings etc.
She is determined to continue on her new career path to its farthest heights.
