SA former member of the House of Representatives representing Vandeikya/Konshisha Federal Constituency, Herman Hembe, has won the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship ticket in Benue State.
According to the official results released from the primaries, Hembe scored 46,526 votes to defeat his main challenger, Peter Adejoh, who garnered 31,990 votes, while Joseph Waya came third with 26,916 votes.
Meanwhile, while accepting the nomination, Hembe hailed the sacrifice of ADC members and appealed to other aspirants to join hands in winning the governorship election for the party in 2027.
Hembe promised to deliver rapid development across the state if elected in the next general polls.
