Ex-Senate President, Lawan, Visits Buhari in Daura

The former President of the 9th Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, paid a courtesy visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Daura, Katsina State.

In a statement issued to newsmen yesterday in Abuja by Dr. Ezrel Tabiowo, Senator Ahmad Lawan’s media adviser, the Senator expressed his appreciation for the warm reception.

Arriving at 12:40 pm, Senator Lawan was warmly received by the former President. The two leaders engaged in discussions covering various national and developmental issues.

Senator Lawan, representing Yobe North Senatorial District, conveyed greetings and best wishes from his constituents and family to President Buhari and his household. He expressed profound gratitude to the former Nigerian leader for his impactful leadership during his presidency from May 2015 to May 2023.

The Senator also commended Buhari for his unwavering dedication to Nigeria’s progress and his readiness to provide guidance even after leaving office.

In response, former President Buhari thanked Senator Lawan for the thoughtful visit and praised his consistent support and contributions to nation-building.

The visit underscored the ongoing camaraderie between the two statesmen, highlighting their shared commitment to Nigeria’s development.
