A former Taraba State commissioner in the dissolved Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mr. Joshua Joseph, has said he now looks like a player in a football team without a jersey number.
Joseph stated this in an interview with LEADERSHIP Weekend in Jalingo yesterday, lamenting that his fate to remain as a member of the state executive council was in the hands of Governor Agbu Kefas.
The governor had through the office of the Secretary to the State Government, Gibon Kataps on April 15 announced the dissolution of the ministry of youths and sports, leaving the commissioner without a portfolio.
“The ministry of youths and sports is dissolved and the Youth Development Agency and Taraba State Sports Commission are hereby established,” the SSG stated in the press statement.
Speaking with our correspondent, Joseph said he had no idea of what the governor wants to do with his case.
“I cannot answer for the governor, I think the governor who brought me into his administration and appointed me as commissioner should be the one to answer what is going to happen to me next,” he said.
The chairman, Taraba state sports council, Bar. Jime Yongu, said he had not been officially communicated on what to do with the appointments of both the youth agency and sports commission.
