First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has enhanced its digital banking offering with a major upgrade of its mobile application, introducing new features aimed at improving customer experience, expanding financial access and rewarding customer loyalty.

The upgraded app comes with a reward points system that enables customers to earn and redeem points on platform transactions, effectively transforming routine banking activities into value-driven experiences.

According to the bank, the new feature is designed to encourage greater engagement within its digital ecosystem by linking everyday transactions with tangible rewards.

Beyond the reward system, FCMB has also introduced a Regal Premium Lifestyle Subscription, which provides users with access to curated lifestyle benefits spanning travel, dining and entertainment. New-to-bank customers will also enjoy three months of free transfers.

As part of its efforts to deepen wealth-creation opportunities for customers, the bank has integrated mutual fund investment services into its mobile application, enabling users to invest and grow their wealth without needing to access multiple platforms.

To further enhance customer support, the app now features “Chat with Temi”, an intelligent in-app assistant designed to provide instant support and speed up issue resolution.

Speaking on the upgrade, FCMB’s Divisional Head, Payments and Solutions, Oladipo Alabede, said the bank remains committed to developing innovative solutions that respond to customers’ evolving needs.

“At FCMB, we are constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of our customers. These features are designed to provide convenience, reward loyalty, and empower our customers to do more with their finances, right from their mobile devices,” Alabede said.

In line with its financial inclusion agenda, FCMB has also simplified the process of upgrading accounts from Tier 1 to Tier 2, allowing customers to access enhanced banking services without visiting a branch.

Additionally, customers can now instantly request and activate virtual cards through the app, enabling secure and seamless online transactions.

The Divisional Head, Personal Banking, Adetunji Lamidi, said the latest enhancements underscore the bank’s technology-driven strategy to deliver smarter and more intuitive banking solutions.

“These upgrades reflect our technology-driven strategy to build a smarter, more intuitive banking platform. By integrating intelligent support systems like Temi and enabling instant services such as virtual card activation, we are redefining convenience and accessibility in banking,” Lamidi stated.

The comprehensive upgrade, according to the bank, reinforces FCMB’s commitment to innovation, customer-centricity, and digital excellence, positioning the mobile application as a one-stop platform for seamless, future-ready banking services.
