The Federal Capital Territory Primary Health Care Board (FCT-PHCB) has approved the pilot implementation of MaternalRecordPro, a digital health platform developed by PrimeSafePath Solutions Ltd, across selected Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Abuja Municipal (AMAC) and Bwari Area Councils.

The initiative, launched in collaboration with the Theodora Anavhe Adamu Foundation (TAAF), is supported by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) under the IgniteHer Initiative.

Designed to digitize end-to-end PHC operations, MaternalRecordPro integrates the Maternal and Perinatal Death Surveillance and Response (MPDSR) system directly into everyday healthcare workflows.

The digital tool aims to enhance real-time data capture, analysis, and reporting to strengthen accountability and visibility across Nigeria’s primary health system.

Chief Executive Officer of PrimeSafePath Solutions,Odion Ikyo said, “This authorization marks a critical step toward visibility and accountability in Nigeria’s primary health system. With MaternalRecordPro, we’re giving PHCs the power to capture, analyze, and act on data in real time.”

The pilot aligns with Nigeria’s National MPDSR Policy and supports global goals under Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3), which seeks to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all. By leveraging digital innovation, the initiative aims to accelerate progress in reducing preventable maternal and newborn deaths across the FCT.
