samsonHuman rights activist and aspirant for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial seat under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Mrs. Aisha Yesufu, has continued consultations with party members and stakeholders across the six Area Councils of the FCT ahead of the party primaries.
The meetings were held in Abaji, Kwali, Gwagwalada, Bwari, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), and Kuje.

Speaking during the engagements, Yesufu said the consultations were part of efforts to interact with residents and discuss issues affecting communities in the FCT, including insecurity, road infrastructure, healthcare, education, unemployment, and water supply.
According to her, regular engagement with residents is important in shaping policies and governance priorities.

“The future of the Federal Capital Territory depends on the collective strength, unity, and voices of its people. My visit to your communities is not just to seek your votes, but to listen and understand your challenges,” she said.

She also said issues such as infrastructure development, youth empowerment, women participation, healthcare, and economic opportunities should receive greater attention in the FCT.
Yesufu stated that she would continue consultations with residents and stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The FCT has 62 political wards spread across the six Area Councils. AMAC has 12 wards, while Abaji, Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, and Kwali have 10 wards each.

Some party members who attended the meetings described Yesufu as a known voice in advocacy and governance issues and expressed support for her aspiration ahead of the primaries.
