Enzo Fernández is reportedly looking to leave Chelsea this summer following the club’s failure to secure a European spot. However, the Blues are demanding £120 million for the Argentine midfielder.

The 25-year-old World Cup winner joined Chelsea from Benfica in 2023 for a club-record £107 million. His current contract runs until 2032, a key factor behind the hefty price tag.

Although Fernández remains part of Chelsea’s plans for next season, the club would be open to offers that match their valuation. Last season, he recorded 15 goals and seven assists, finishing as runner-up in Chelsea’s Player of the Season award.

His agent, Javier Pastore, is now exploring potential destinations, with Real Madrid believed to be Fernández’s preferred choice.

Other options include Manchester City, who are expected to appoint former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca as Pep Guardiola’s successor in the coming days. However, City’s primary midfield target is Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson.

Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have played down links to Fernández, despite previous speculation.

Real Madrid are known to be reluctant to meet Chelsea’s £120 million demand unless they can generate significant funds through player sales. The Spanish club have also been linked with Manchester City’s Rodri.

Chelsea’s hierarchy acknowledge that new manager Xabi Alonso will need established, Premier League-ready talent after a disappointing campaign that saw the team finish 10th and end the season without a trophy.
