At the flag-off ceremony, director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC Dr Ajuwa Daniel urged the two contractors handling the road projects (Faith Plant Services and Rhema Vision) to execute the road project according to specifications.

The NDDC director, who spoke in the company of the minister of state for trade and industry, Senator John Owan Enoh, charged the stakeholders of the three communities of Ikom, Etomi, and Agbokim to see the road project as their own, urging them to protect the road construction equipment from vandalization by hoodlums.

He said that the construction of the road project became necessary as it would facilitate the transport of agricultural produce like cocoa from the hinterland to the urban centre.

In his remarks, Minister of State for Trade and Industry, Senator John Owan-Enoh, while commending Tinubu’s administration, stated,” Tinubu’s leadership has shown us favour. The president has negotiated and begun the Lagos-Calabar Coastal High Way. President Tinubu is associated with big dreams.”
