The federal and Kebbi State governments are to assist farmers with free petrol to boost dry season farming.
Governor Nasir Idris made this known in Yauri in Yauri local government area of the state at the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for the Yauri/Shanga/Ngaski federal constituency bye-election slated for Saturday.
The governor said the state government was in touch with the minister of budget and economic planning, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudo, on the arrangement.
He said government decided to supply free petrol to the farmers to enhance their farming activities, especially during the dry season.
Idris called on the people in the area to come out en-masse on Saturday to vote for APC candidates.
