In a move aimed at deepening financial inclusion and accelerating digital transformation across Africa, Humanity Empire Group (HEG) has unveiled plans to strengthen the continent’s digital economy through the deployment of its flagship digital platform, AFRIQA.

The technology and innovation company said the integrated digital ecosystem is designed to connect individuals, businesses and governments through a single secure platform that combines financial technology, digital commerce, mobility, communication, digital identity, artificial intelligence and social impact services.

According to the company, AFRIQA is being developed as a unified digital infrastructure to simplify access to essential digital services while promoting seamless interaction among users across Africa.

Speaking on the planned rollout, the Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Humanity Empire Group, Prof. Christopher Chinedumuije, said the initiative underscores the company’s commitment to building digital infrastructure capable of driving inclusive economic growth across the continent.

“AFRIQA represents our commitment to building digital infrastructure that empowers Africans to connect, transact, innovate and prosper.

“Our vision is to create one trusted ecosystem where technology serves people, businesses and governments, driving financial inclusion, digital transformation and sustainable economic growth across the continent,” he said.

HEG disclosed that the platform comprises several interoperable services, including WayaWaya for digital wallet, payments and financial services; OneMarkaet, a digital marketplace for businesses and consumers; WakaWaka, a smart mobility and electric vehicle ecosystem; Aproko, an AI-powered messaging, collaboration and communication platform; Afriqa ID, a digital identity and verification service; Afriqa AI, an intelligent digital assistant and artificial intelligence service; and Afriqa SP, a humanitarian, social protection and government digital services platform.

The company said the phased rollout will commence with selected flagship services before expanding to additional digital products and strategic partnerships across Nigeria and other African markets.

It added that the platform was built with interoperability, cybersecurity, scalability and regulatory compliance at its core to enable seamless integration with financial institutions, telecommunications companies, government agencies, merchants, developers and technology partners.

Beyond providing digital services, HEG said AFRIQA is expected to stimulate innovation, support entrepreneurship, expand financial inclusion, accelerate digital commerce and create employment opportunities across Africa’s growing digital economy.

The Group further disclosed that it is engaging strategic partners across banking, payments, telecommunications, mobility, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence and government digital transformation to support the successful deployment and long-term expansion of the platform.

According to the company, additional partnerships, pilot programmes and implementation milestones will be announced in the coming weeks as deployment of the integrated digital ecosystem progresses.
