Osimhen, who previously donned the Galatasaray jersey, described his return as a heartfelt homecoming. “I am absolutely thrilled to be back at Galatasaray,” he stated. “This club holds a special place in my heart, and I am committed to giving my utmost to help achieve our collective goals.”

His words resonated with the fans present, who were hopeful that his experience and skill would translate into success on the pitch.

The addition of Osimhen is expected to significantly enhance Galatasaray’s attacking capabilities, providing the team with a potent weapon in their quest for domestic and European glory. With his impressive track record and undeniable talent, many believe he will play a crucial role in galvanising the squad as they seek to reclaim their position at the summit of Turkish football.

As the new season approaches, the anticipation surrounding Osimhen’s contributions to Galatasaray is palpable, and fans are eager to witness the impact of this high-profile signing on their team’s title ambitions.

The Nigerian international joined the Turkish club on a permanent deal for a fee of €75 million — the highest ever paid by a club in Turkey.

Galatasaray surprised many by publicly announcing Osimhen’s full salary package on their official X page. According to the club:

He will earn €15 million yearly in net salary.

He will receive a €1 million loyalty bonus every season

He will also get €5 million per year for image rights

In total, this means Osimhen will take home €21 million every year after tax — which is around ₦37 billion in Nigerian currency.

This salary makes Osimhen not only the best-paid player in Turkey, but also one of the highest earners in Europe.
