Chairman of Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government area of Lagos State, Hon. Olalekan Akindipe, has been awarded a Doctoral Fellowship in Strategic Leadership and Public Resources Management by the Chartered Institute of Public Resources Management and Politics (CIPRMP), Ghana.
The recognition, presented during a visit by the institute’s delegation led by the vice president, Prof. Babatunde Akinsanya, director of Public Affairs, Dr Sey Phillips and head of Correspondence, Nigerian Office, Mrs Victoria Ijeoma, highlights Akindipe’s “incorruptible track record of integrity” and contributions to local government development.
CIPRMP cited his achievements as improving hospitals and healthcare centres, building and refurbishing schools, constructing access roads, electrifying communities, supporting students, upgrading markets and providing regular philanthropic assistance to the underprivileged within his jurisdiction.
The institute praised Akindipe’s leadership dexterity and exemplary service delivery in Ajeromi Ifelodu council, describing him as a model for strategic public resource management in West Africa.
