Girl Suffering From Kidney Disease Cries For Help

A 24 years old girl identified as Koffat Martha Amadosi suffering from kidney disease has appealed to Kogi State Government and public spirited individuals to assist her to get immediate treatment for her illness.

Kaffat Martha Amadosi who is currently admitted at Federal Teaching Hospital Lokoja needs N30million for kidney transplant.

Amadosi, who hailed from Ogori/ Magongo local government area of Kogi State, has been suffering from kidney disease since November, 2024.

Speaking with journalists at her hospital bed, Koffa Martha Amadosi said she  was first diagnosed at Oprime Hospital in Lekki, Lagos before she moved to Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Lokoja.

Amadosi, who is a National Diploma (ND) holder from the Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, said, “Nigerians should not allow me to die now. Nothing is too small to be contributed so that I can have my life back. Governor Ahmed  Usman Ododo, please come to my aid and don’t allow me to die. You have been doing it before and I know you will do it for me to live again.

A breakdown of the money shows that a total amount of N25million goes for kidney transplant, while N5million is for medications after the operation.

She added that her parents are civil servants, precisely local government workers, saying they have spent all they have on diagnosis and other medications and could not afford the money for the transplant.

Similarly, a non-governmental organization, Known as Participation Initiative for Behavioral Change in Development (PIBCD) has appealed to government and spirited individuals to come to the aid of  Kaffat Martha Amadosi.

The executive director of PIBCID Akande Rachael Remilekun made the call when she led a team on a visit to the patient at the Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH), Lokoja.

The organisation called on Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, relevant stakeholders and public spirited individuals to come to her aid to enable her undergo kidney transplant.
