Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno says he is committed to working across party lines with the new federal ministers recently appointed and inaugurated into office by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to further the development of the country.
In a congratulatory message he personally signed, Governor Eno said he looks “forward to working with you across party lines to further our development as a State and Nation.”
The message of goodwill in some national dailies read, “on behalf of the Government and people of Akwa Ibom State, I send hearty congratulations on your appointments and subsequent swearing -in as Honourable Ministers by the President and Commander -In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
“It was the 2004 Democratic Presidential Candidate, John Kerry, who stated that “the American spirit wears no political label. In service to others, and yes, in sacrifice to our country, there are no Republicans, there are no Democrats; there are only Americans.”
The Governor personally listed and acknowledged each of the Ministers, congratulating them on their inauguration into office.
Governor Eno had last week, demonstrated his resolve to work beyond party lines with Federal Civil Servants from Akwa Ibom State extraction in bringing more developments to the state.
In an interactive session he had with the Federal Commissioners, Permanent Secretary and Directors at the Akwa Ibom State Liaison Office, Abuja on Tuesday 15th August 2023, the Governor emphasized that he was ready and willing to work with our illustrious sons and daughters who are working within the Federal bureaucracy to advance the development of our dear state.
