At the ceremony, the governor said the appointment of advisers into the cabinet was because of his consistent drive towards transforming Gombe into an enviable one among Nigerian states.
He charged the new appointees to work harmoniously and assiduously towards achieving the goals of his administration, saying good governance must be provided for the development of Gombe State and the wellbeing of its citizens.

“Your appointment is a call to service, to help navigate the affairs of our state through turbulent waters, and not an invitation to political luxury and profligacy. I charge you to work assiduously and as a team towards achieving the goals of our administration.

“We must work together to provide good governance for the development of Gombe State and our people,” he said.

The governor stated that since 2019, his administration has been built on a strong foundation of hard work, resilience, and unflinching commitment to the wellbeing of the people of Gombe State, putting in place various people-oriented policies and programmes to address the needs of the people and propel the state towards greater heights.
